ELQUEEN respects your privacy and is committed to handling your personal data responsibly. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, and the rights you have over your data — including under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) where applicable.

1. Information We Collect

• Order data: your name, email, shipping address (including ZIP/postal code), phone number, and order details. You provide this at checkout.
• Payment data: processed entirely by PayPal. We do not store full card numbers; we only receive a transaction ID and the amount paid.
• Cart data:stored in your browser’s local storage so your bag persists across pages and visits. Nothing in localStorage leaves your device.
• Server logs: standard request metadata (IP address, user agent, time, page requested) used to detect abuse, measure performance, and keep the site online.
• Cookies: we use a small number of strictly necessary cookies and (with your consent) preference cookies. See our Cookies section below.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Fulfilling and shipping your order.
• Sending order confirmations, shipping updates, and refund notices.
• Responding to support requests from [email protected].
• Preventing fraud and securing the site.
• Complying with legal obligations (tax, accounting, court orders).

3. Who We Share With

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share only with:

• PayPal — to process payment. Their privacy policy: paypal.com/legalhub/privacy.
• Shipping carriers (e.g. USPS, UPS, DHL) — name, address, and a tracking-only contact field, strictly to deliver your package.
• Service providers who help us run the site (hosting, email). They are bound by contractual confidentiality and may only use data to provide their service.
• Law enforcement, only when legally required.

4. Cookies

We use two categories of cookies:

• Strictly necessary: required for the site to function (e.g. admin session cookies, security tokens). These cannot be disabled.
• Preference:remember your cookie-consent choice so we don’t prompt you again. Set only after you accept.

We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can manage cookies in your browser settings at any time.

5. Data Retention

Order records (including your name, address, and email) are kept for as long as needed to provide warranty/return support and to comply with US tax and accounting law (typically 7 years). Server access logs are kept for 30 days. You can request earlier deletion of identifiable data — see Your Rights below.

6. Security

We protect your data with HTTPS in transit, rate-limited APIs, same-origin checks on state-changing requests, and access-controlled admin endpoints. No transmission or storage is 100% secure; in the unlikely event of a breach affecting you, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Delete your data (subject to legal-retention obligations).
• Opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of your data — we do not engage in either, so this is automatic.
• For EU/UK residents: data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

8. Children

The site and its products are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 (or 16 in the EU/UK). If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. International Transfers

ELQUEEN servers are based in the United States. By using the site from outside the US, you consent to the transfer of your data to the US and the processing of it there.

We’ll post material changes on this page with a new “last updated” date. If the change is significant we will also notify you by email or a banner on the site.
